This best practice guideline addresses the issue of woman abuse and the role that health care professionals have in supporting clients experiencing abuse.
The implementation phase is currently underway and focuses on staff training, which will continue throughout 2011.
Through inter-agency collaboration, TBDHU staff members will gain a better understanding of the community services available to support women living with woman abuse. A co-ordinated approach, in turn, will enhance the TBDHU's ability to meet the needs of its clients.
