The Thunder Bay District Health Unit requires a casual Lay Home Visitor in the Marathon Branch. The role of the Lay Home Visitor is to visit and work with high-risk families in their homes to develop parenting skills, focus on family strengths and help the families connect with resources in the community. The Lay Home Visitor promotes the Healthy Babies / Healthy Children program through encouraging safety, growth and development and role modeling.
Qualifications:

Knowledge of parenting skills with an interest in helping children and their families

Ability to read and write English

Use of a personally owned vehicle and valid driver's license is required

Ability to periodically travel in the District

Grade 12 education

Current satisfactory Criminal Reference Check
