FREE Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
One of the best ways a pregnant woman can prepare for breastfeeding is to learn as much as she can about breastfeeding before the baby arrives.
The Maternity Centre located beside the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital on Oliver Road offers a one time 2 hour free breastfeeding class for prenatal women and their support person. To view the poster for all the details click here. To register call 684-6228.
Breastfeeding Support Groups
Bosom Buddies is a no charge drop-in mother to mother support group located at the maternity centre for moms with babies who are up to 8 weeks of age. This group is led by a lactation consultant on Friday afternoons. Call 684-6228 for more information.
The Breastfeeding Friends Support Group & Clinic is a no charge drop-in mother to mother support group for moms and babies of all ages. A Lactation Consultant from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit is available to see moms on a first come basis. This group meets on Tuesday afternoons from 1-3pm. The group meets at the
