Resource Moms / Family Home Visitors Are:

• Parents who can relate to the families they visit
  
• Trained in child development and how to support families
  
• Supervised by a Public Health Nurse, and a Home Visiting Coordinator

They work with families to:

• Build on their strengths
  
• Develop their parenting skills
  
• Help them connect with resources in the community
  
• Promote safety, learning and a nurturing environment for children
