How to Become a Communicative Disorders Assistant

A Communicative Disorders Assistant holds a post-graduate diploma from Georgian College (in Orillia, Ontario), Durham College (Oshawa, Ontario), or St. Lawrence College (Cornwall, Ontario).

The Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada (CDAAC) recognizes for membership only students or graduates of these programs.

In order to be considered for this post-diploma program, you must have a college diploma or degree in human services/health sciences. Program length is one year. There are other colleges in Canada which do offer an assistant level of training.

Please refer to the CDAAC website for further details.
