The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and St. Joseph's Care Group Regional Eating Disorders Program have partnered together to be a local registered Action Team for the Dressing Room Project.

The Dressing Room Project was created by an organization called  Emerging Women Projects.  It is a global positive body image initiative.

The local Action Team delivers Dressing Room Project workshops for girls in grades seven and eight.  During this fun and interactive session participants discuss how images in the media influence how we see ourselves and others.  Each girl also creates an inspirational positive body image postcard empowering herself to appreciate her natural size and shape.
