Who are we?
The Regional Food Distribution Association, RFDA is a recently formed association of charitable food distribution organizations under the sponsorship of the Catholic Family Development Centre. We have been appointed by the Ontario Association of Food Banks to be the distributor of available donated and reclaimed food for Northwestern Ontario. Essentially, this means that we receive the food share from the OAFB and other resources available to our region and re-distribute it to the local community agencies that regularly provide food supplies to those in need in their N.W.O. community.
Our Vision
An association of cooperative but autonomous organizations working in harmony to meet the local and regional needs for a central warehouse, and food distribution system. RFDA provides a connection to all the independent food banks, cupboards, etc.
That there comes an end to the need for food banks and everyone is fed.
