An enteric outbreak at Roseview Manor located at 99 Shuniah Street has ended.  Visitor restrictions have been lifted and resident transfers, admissions and discharges have resumed.

An outbreak with similar symptoms which began on November 27th continues at the Versa Care Centre located at 135 S. Vickers Street. 

As the holiday season approaches, many people visit loved ones in long-term care facilities.  Infection control staff at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit would like to remind people that these residents are often more susceptible to illness.  For that reason, it is recommended that you do not visit or volunteer at long-term care facilities, daycare centres or hospitals if you are ill.
