The outbreak at Versa Care has ended. No new cases have been reported in the last 48 hours.

Visitor restrictions have been lifted and discharges, admissions and transfers will resume.

The outbreak was first declared on January 23 and affected 30 residents over the course of 11 days. Numerous staff members were also affected. The cause of the outbreak could not be determined.

Residents of long term care facilities are at higher risk of becoming ill. Officials would therefore like to remind family members to delay visiting long term care residents if you are feeling unwell.
