Officials at Grandview Lodge and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit have lifted restrictions put in place because of an outbreak that began on February 23rd. Visitors and volunteers are now welcomed. Admissions, discharges and transfers will resume.
A total of 71 residents and 40 staff were affected during the 19-day outbreak which was traced to a Norovirus.
Yesterday, Bethammi Nursing Home at St. Joseph's Heritage was placed under restrictions due to an outbreak of gastrointestinal symptoms. Investigations of the cause are underway.
