Dec.20 - The Health Unit reminds those who will be enjoying holiday feasts and fare to make food safety a priority this season, and always! By properly cooking, preparing, serving and storing food, the risk of pathogens (bacteria, viruses, parasites) – such as E. coli, Campylobacter, Salmonella, Hepatitis A, Norwalk virus, etc. – which cause foodborne illnesses, is greatly reduced. Health Unit Increases Efforts to Reduce Tobacco Sales to Youth

December 3, 2007 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and the Northwestern Health Unit are enhancing their efforts to keep tobacco products out of the hands of youth. A new information tool created by the Not To Kids coalition and supported by Smoke Free Ontario is being delivered to all the tobacco vendors in the region.
