May 4, 2007 - Dr. Louis Rossetti, internationally renowned speaker and author in the field of early intervention and language development is coming to Thunder Bay to address a group of early intervention specialists in the area of infant and early child development.

“Dr. Rossetti has worked with parents of young children for many years and is the author of the Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale, the most widely used communication scale in the world for children under three,” stated Elizabeth Lemieux, Senior Speech Language Pathologist at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit. “We are very fortunate to have him come to our community. Dr. Rossetti will be sharing important strategies to help professionals and parents ensure their infants and toddlers reach their maximum communication potential.”

Participants from all across Northwestern Ontario will work with Dr. Rossetti for two days: May 10th and 11th at the Best Western Nor’Wester Resort Hotel. He will share important strategies on working with parents to ensure their infants and toddlers reach their maximum communication potential.

Preschool Communication Services, a partnership of St. Joseph’s Care Group, George Jeffrey Children’s Centre, Children’s Centre Thunder Bay, Integrated Services for Northern Children and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, have worked together to bring this prominent guest speaker to Thunder Bay. Communities Together for Children is coordinating all workshop registration and arrangements.
