Health Unit Launches New Vision Program
November 2, 2007 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is now be able to help children who are blind or who have visual impairments. Northwestern Ontario smokers can get help to quit with the STOP Study
November 19, 2007 - Two hundred and fifty smokers in the District of Thunder Bay will get the help they need to quit smoking with free nicotine replacement therapy. By participating in the STOP Study, ‘Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients’, eligible smokers will receive ten weeks of free nicotine replacement therapy as gum, patches or inhalers. Read more >>
Caregivers Urged to be a Step Ahead of the Flu

2007 Report to the Community Released
November 7, 2007 - Today, the Health Unit provided local media and community stakeholders with a copy of the 2007 Report to the Community "Immunization. Health for Life!" The Report will be distributed to every household in the City and District on Thursday, November 8th. Read more >>
Check Freezers for Possibility of Contaminated Beef
