February 11, 2008 - The respiratory outbreak at Hogarth Riverview Manor has ended. All visitation, admissions, discharges, and transfers have resumed.
However, to prevent further outbreaks, facility management requests that those who have been ill or who are not feeling wait at least 48 hours after recovering from illness before visiting the facility.
Respiratory outbreaks are still in effect at Versa Care, Pinewood Court and Grandview Lodge.
The Health Unit reminds you to prevent getting and spreading infections by:
- washing your hands frequently, for at least 15 seconds with soap and warm water, or by using a hand sanitizer;
- covering your coughs and sneezes by coughing and sneezing into your shirt sleeve; and
- staying home if you are ill to avoid spreading infections to others.
