January 25, 2008 - Officials at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and St. Joseph’s Care Group have declared a facility-wide outbreak of a respiratory illness at Hogarth Riverview Manor on Lillie Street.
All admissions, transfers, discharges, visitation and social activities have been cancelled, until further notice.
Relatives and friends of residents may call the facility’s nursing station for more information.
The Health Unit reminds you to prevent getting and spreading infections by washing your hands frequently, for at least 15 seconds with soap and warm water, or by using a hand sanitizer; and staying home if you are ill to avoid spreading infections to others.
The respiratory outbreak continues at Bethammi Nursing Home and Versa Care.
