July 3, 2009 - Since the last release on June 29, the Health Unit reports one new case of H1N1 flu in Thunder Bay and District. The new case is a child living in the city of Thunder Bay.
This new case brings the total number of cases to five (5) for Thunder Bay and District.
The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) will post the provincial statistics by 4:00pm today at www.health.gov.on.ca
Earlier this week, the Health Unit made contact with children’s summer camp providers to make them aware of a new document from the MOHLTC that provides guidelines on the prevention and management of the spread of the H1N1 flu virus. The document is also available on the Health Unit’s website at tbdhu.com/id (click on “H1N1 Flu Virus”).
The next Thunder Bay and District update will be posted on Friday, July 10 at 1:00pm.
