The following location is still under a swimming advisory:
- Chippewa Park - Main Beach
Beaches are placed under a swimming advisory if water quality tests indicate higher than acceptable E. coli bacteria levels. High E. coli levels pose possible risks to bathers. These risks include a variety of skin, eye, nose and throat infections, and stomach illnesses.
Public Health Inspectors regularly test beaches in the District of Thunder Bay from mid June to the end of August. Updates of beach water quality can be found on the Health Unit website at TBDHU.COM/eh
