Diaphragm

·        Flexible rubber barrier inserted into the vagina against the cervix to block the entry of sperm into the uterus

·        You must visit the sexual health clinic to see a clinic nurse and doctor

·        Requires a prescription

·        You will be examined and then sized and fitted for a diaphragm


Procedure

·        Must be used with spermicidal jelly

·        The diaphragm must be inserted into the vagina against the cervix before having sex

·        Must be left in for six hours following sex
