Tubal

A surgical procedure for women done in hospital under a general or local anaesthetic.

The fallopian tubes are closed or tied off to prevent eggs from being fertilized and from travelling and implanting in the uterus.  The operation prevents fertilization, the egg can't travel from the ovary to meet the sperm.

You must visit the sexual health clinic to see a clinic doctor. You will receive a referral to a doctor who will do your tubal ligation.
