Egale Canada
Egale Canada is a national organization that advances equality and justice for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans-identified people and their families across Canada.
In 2008, Egale Canada launched the First National Climate Survey on Homophobia in Canadian Schools. Phase one results are available on their website.

Gender Issues Centre (Lakehead University)
The Gender Issues Centre (GIC) is a centre for all Lakehead University students. The GIC initiate and support positive action in relation to issues and concerns which surround gender, socio-economic status, ethnicity, religion, culture, family life, sexual orientation, gender identity and differences in physical or mental ability.
The GIC services are used by students to encourage communication, action, awareness, self-reflection and compassion.

Northwestern Ontario Women’s Centre
The Northwestern Ontario Women's Centre is a non-profit, community based, feminist organization working toward substantive equality for women.
Support and advocacy is available for individual women who encounter difficulty dealing with personal, administrative, human rights or legal issues, usually involving violence, poverty, or the legal system. In addition, the Centre takes women's concerns to local, provincial and national committees and consultations so that people who make laws, policy and decisions are aware of the reality of women's lives in Northwestern Ontario.

Pride Central (Lakehead University)
Pride Central is a service centre for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit, and queer students, but the services are available to all students and community members. Pride Central works towards ending discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. Pride Central often engages in activities which advocate for social justice issues in the community.
