The Sexual Health Program supports people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. The colours of the flag represent and celebrate the diversity of the gay and lesbian community.
We are all sexual beings and we are all part of a diverse world which encompasses many different races, cultures and religions. Human sexuality is also diverse. The letters LGBTTTIQQ represent that diversity.
Some people are straight. Others are attracted to people of the same sex (gay or lesbian) or attracted to both sexes (bisexual or bi). There are people who identify themselves as transgender or as transsexual or two-spirited. Some people are unsure of their sexual orientation (Questioning). This is normal and very common especially for teenagers.
It can take several years for some people to figure out their sexual orientation.
