2008 Driven to Quit Challenge

The Provincial Driven to Quit Challenge 2008 has been launched.  One successful quitter will drive away with a 2008 Toyota Prius Hybrid, while seven other regional prize winners will walk away with $3,000 Future Shop gift cards.  Several prizes are also available locally sponsored by Tobacco Free Thunder Bay.

Register online at www.driventoquit.ca, by faxing/mailing a registration form (available from Smokers’ Helpline, Canadian Cancer Society local offices and local public health units) or by calling Smokers’ Helpline at 1 877 513-5333 by February 29, 2008.

Registrants who remain smoke-free for the month of March 2008 will be entered into the grand prize draw on March 31, 2008.

Tobacco Action Resource Centre, Thunder Bay District Health Unit

Individuals are invited to call or drop by the Health Unit to arrange an appointment with a "Tobacco Treatment Specialist" who can assist you along the way to being "tobacco free".

Nicotine Dependence Centre

For the person who wants personalized and intensive support to quit smoking. A trained cessation counsellor provides up to four sessions that prepare a smoker for their quit date and provides follow-up support. Nicotine Dependence Centre 684-7311
