The Thunder Bay District Health Unit conducts ongoing inspections to ensure compliance with the Smoke-Free Ontario Act. These inspections include tobacco vendor youth access compliance checks and checks to ensure tobacco vendors are compliant with all rules and regulations pertaining to tobacco sales.

The Health Unit provides information and assistance to tobacco vendors on a regular basis to assist them in fulfilling their obligations under the act. Go to
