Mental Health & Addictions

Addiction often overlaps with mental health challenges making it a complex concern. There are a number of community-based organizations that help clients address both mental health and substance use. The Thunder Bay District Health Unit works with these organizations to provide public health input and help raise awareness, challenge stigma, promote programs and find possible solutions.

Below are some local (district) and national resources for help and information about mental health and addiction. For information about alcohol and other drugs, please visit our Alcohol & Other Drugs page.
