Public Health Nurses (Full-Time Contracts until March 31, 2023) - IPAC Hub

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is seeking Full-Time Contract (from September 2022 - March 31, 2023) Public Health Nurses in the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Hub program.

The IPAC Hub Public Health Nurse will provide leadership, public health expertise, consultation, guidance and direct support for the IPAC program delivery. Working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the Public Health Nurse will work collaboratively and provide guidance on IPAC to agency staff, community partners, and personnel in community based congregate living settings.

In addition, the Public Health Nurse will have knowledge in client care practice, infectious disease processes and microbiology, routine practices and additional precautions, surveillance, research utilization and education, epidemiological and statistical principles and how these activities impact client safety. Certification in Infection Control through the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology is considered an asset.
