RSV Protection for Eligible Groups - 2025/2026

Description

The RSV immunization program for infants and pregnant women has ended for the 2024–2025 RSV season.

The high-risk older adult RSV vaccine program will continue until the end of June for the 2024–2025 RSV season.

Information on the 2025–2026 RSV prevention programs will be available before the RSV season begins in the fall.

What is RSV?

An RSV infection is most severe in young babies and older adults and can sometimes lead to serious infections like pneumonia or bronchitis.

Each year in Ontario during the RSV season (October-April, peaking in December) a significant number of infants and children under 2 are hospitalized, with many cases requiring intensive care stays.
