Dental Clinic

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit offers free dental services for eligible children and youth 17 and under.

 

Dental Screening

Screening consist of a visual inspection by a registered dental hygienist to identify obvious dental conditions that are causing or will cause pain and will recommend preventive services that will benefit your child.

 

Preventive Clinics

Free preventive services include:

  • Oral Hygiene Education
  • Cleanings
  • Fluoride Applications
  • Sealants

 

Fluoride Varnish Clinics

Fluoride varnish is a protective coating that is painted onto the teeth. This coating makes teeth stronger to help prevent cavities from starting. The TBDHU provides this service free of charge to all children under four years old.

 

Please note: Dental Clinics at the TBDHU Balmoral Site are offered by appointment only.
