The Thunder Bay District Board of Health has elected its leadership for 2026 at the Annual General Meeting held today, January 21, 2026. James McPherson was re-elected as Chair. Don Smith was re-elected as Vice-Chair.

The Board of Health consists of members appointed by the municipalities in the District of Thunder Bay and provincial appointees.
Board of Health meetings are held at 1:00 pm the third Wednesday of every month at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit at 999 Balmoral Street. Meetings are open to the public.
