As COVID-19 cases continue to rise at an alarming rate, a State of Emergency and Provincewide Stay-at-Home Order are in effect as of Thursday, April 8 at 12:01 a.m. This puts in place shutdown measures to help to stop the rapid transmission of COVID-19 variants in communities, protect hospital capacity and save lives. Pharmacy Vaccination Appointments: As of April 3, 2021, select local pharmacies will be offering vaccinations with the AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD vaccine for adults aged 55 and over. Appointments will be required. Interested individuals can contact one of the pharmacies below for more information:

Important Updates to COVID-19 Guidance
  • If a child has 1 or more new symptoms, they must not go to school or child care. Details on the Child with Symptoms page.  
  • If anyone has symptoms, the entire household must self-isolate. Details on the Self-Isolation page.
  • Definition of who could be high-risk and low-risk contacts on the Frequently Asked Questions page.   
  • Instructions if someone in the house is a high-risk contact with no symptoms, (this includes children in a dismissed cohort):
    • Parents/caregivers/others in the household must stay home except for essential reasons, such as work. Details on the Workplace FAQs page.
