The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is seeking a Full-Time Permanent Health Promotion Planner in the Health Promotion Division. Reporting to the Manager of Oral Health & District Offices, the Health Promotion Planner researches, plans, develops, coordinates, and evaluates practices/programs in order to effectively meet the Ontario Public Health Standards and local needs, as well as provides recommendations based on analysis of data and results related to program planning. The Health Promotion Planner also provides consultation to staff, provincial and community partners regarding research and evaluation, health promotion theories, best practices, and policy development in accordance with health unit policy. The Health Promotion Planner also supports staff in meeting requirements for evidence-informed practice.
Occasional Travel with District of Thunder Bay is required.
