The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is seeking a (full-time contract: October 20, 2025 – April 16, 2027) Dietitian to work in the Healthy Living Program.
Reporting to the Manager of Healthy Living program, the Public Health Dietitian applies a comprehensive population health approach to plan, develop, implement, promote and evaluate nutrition programs based on current research and identified community needs. The Dietitian provides educational programming and training in various settings, such as childcare centres, community groups, and neighbourhood wellness hubs. The Dietitian applies various strategies such as education, consultation, community needs assessment, and development of healthy public policy. The Dietitian works collaboratively with the Public Health Nutritionist and other health unit staff, community coalitions/committees, professionals, and local agencies to achieve the objectives of Mandatory Health Programs and Services Guidelines.
Occasional travel within the district is required.
