The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is seeking an 18-weeks (4 days/week) Contract: (Anticipated dates: April 20, 2026 to August 21, 2026) Vector-Borne Disease Student in our Environmental Health Program.
The Vector-Borne Disease student will work on various aspects of Vector borne Disease programming, including monitoring mosquito and tick communities, assisting with tick surveillance, intaking ticks submitted to the health unit and provide follow-up information, and providing information to the general public about the risk of contracting West Nile virus and Lyme disease.
