November 26, 2020 - This is an unusual flu season and demand has been much higher than in most years which has resulted in a nationwide shortage of the flu vaccine.
TBDHU is encouraging anyone 5 years of age and older to receive a flu vaccine at a pharmacy as local pharmacies in Thunder Bay and District continue to receive flu vaccine supply weekly through their wholesale distributors.
TBDHU continues to offer appointments for individuals under 5 (children under 5 can not receive a flu vaccine at the pharmacy). At this time, TBDHU has limited supply of the flu vaccine to distribute and is prioritizing distribution to populations with reduced access to a pharmacy.
