April 28, 2023 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Chartwell Thunder Bay, confirm that the gastrointestinal outbreak located at 1350 Isabella St. E., has been declared over. All restrictions have been lifted.

The Health Unit is urging people to stay at home and refrain from visiting hospitals and long-term care facilities when feeling unwell to avoid spreading infections to those most vulnerable: young infants and children, the elderly and those with other chronic illnesses.

April 28, 2023 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group Hogarth Riverview Manor, confirm that the respiratory (COVID-19) outbreak, located at 300 Lillie St. N, has been declared over, as of April 27, 2023. All outbreak restrictions have been lifted.

TBDHU recommends the public refrain from visiting hospitals, long-term care facilities and other high risk settings when feeling unwell to avoid spreading infections to those most vulnerable and at higher risk of severe outcomes.

April 25, 2023 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Chartwell Thunder Bay, confirm that the respiratory outbreak (COVID-19), located at 1350 Isabella St., has been declared over.

The gastrointestinal outbreak that was previously declared on April 17, 2023 is ongoing. Outbreak restrictions remain in place.

April 21, 2023 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Southbridge Pinewood, located at 2625 Walsh St. E, confirm that a respiratory outbreak (COVID-19) has been declared on Sandpiper Unit.

There are restrictions on admissions, transfers, discharges, social activities and visitation in the affected area of the facility until further notice. Please call the facility for more information.

April 21, 2023 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group Hogarth Riverview Manor, confirm that the gastrointestinal outbreak on Hogarth Riverview Manor 3 South Daisy Resident Home Area and 3 North – Lily Resident Home Area located at 300 Lillie St. N has been declared over. All restrictions have been lifted.

April 17, 2023 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Chartwell Thunder Bay, located at 1350 Isabella St. E, confirm that a gastrointestinal illness outbreak has been declared at Chartwell Isabella, in Thunder Bay.

All admissions, transfers, discharges and social activities have been cancelled on the affected unit until further notice. Visitors are restricted to family members and caregivers only. Please call the facility for additional information.

April 14, 2023 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group Hogarth Riverview Manor, confirm that the respiratory (COVID-19) outbreak previously declared on April 1 2023 on 4 North – Iris Resident Home Area has been expanded to include 4 South –Lilac Resident Home Area.
