August 18, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Southbridge Care Homes confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Southbridge Roseview, Primrose Unit, in Thunder Bay.

TBDHU has initiated a thorough assessment of the situation. Further measures will be taken as needed to manage this situation.

Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility.

August 12, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Thunder Bay. The outbreak is restricted to 2 East, Mental Health Rehabilitation.

August 12, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Bethammi Nursing Home, 3^rd Floor, in Thunder Bay.

August 12, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Chartwell Thunder Bay Retirement Residence (Arundel Street) announce that the outbreak at the facility in Thunder Bay is now over.

Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place to reduce the likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.

TBDHU has initiated a thorough assessment of the situation.  Further measures will be taken as needed to manage this situation. 

August 11, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Walford Thunder Bay confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Walford Retirement Home, 1^st Floor, in Thunder Bay. 

TBDHU has initiated a thorough assessment of the situation.  Further measures will be taken as needed to manage this situation. 

August 10, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Southbridge Pinewood, located at 2625 Walsh St. East, confirm that a gastrointestinal illness outbreak (non-COVID-19) has been declared on Hummingbird Unit, in Thunder Bay.

All admissions, transfers, discharges and social activities have been cancelled on the affected unit until further notice. Visitors are restricted to family members and caregivers only. Please call the facility for additional information.

August 5, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group announce that the outbreak at Hogarth Riverview Manor, 5 South, Orchid Resident Home Area, in Thunder Bay is now over.

Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place to reduce the likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.

August 4, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Southbridge Care Homes announce that the outbreak at Southbridge Pinewood, Kingfisher Home Area, in Thunder Bay is now over.
