December 30, 2021 - The gastrointestinal outbreak at Chartwell-Isabella, located at 1350 Isabella St. E., has been declared over. All restrictions have been lifted.
The Health Unit is urging people to stay at home and refrain from visiting hospitals and long-term care facilities when feeling unwell to avoid spreading infections to those most vulnerable: young infants and children, the elderly and those with other chronic illnesses.

December 30, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Lakehead Public Schools confirm that the outbreak of COVID-19 at Gorham & Ware Community School in Thunder Bay is now over.
There is no evidence that any additional spread of the virus has occurred in the school or in any related settings at this time. Note that all individuals that were identified by public health as a positive case of COVID-19 or close contact will be required to stay home and not return to the school setting until cleared by public health.

December 28, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is advising the public of a significant increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 in the TBDHU area. There is evidence of community spread of the virus in the Thunder Bay area and likely in the Nipigon and Greenstone areas. Cases have also recently been identified in other areas. Screening results are increasingly showing the pattern of the Omicron variant.
December 28, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Lakehead Public Schools confirm that the outbreak of COVID-19 at Ecole Elsie MacGill Public School in Thunder Bay is now over.
There is no evidence that any additional spread of the virus has occurred in the school or in any related settings at this time.
