March 4, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 61 (sixty-one) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 397.

March 3, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group announce that the outbreak at Bethammi Nursing Home, in Thunder Bay is now over.
Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place at Bethammi Nursing Home to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.
Bethammi Nursing Home participated in the initial roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination program for Long-Term Care Homes.
March 3, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that an outbreak has been declared at Hogarth Riverview Manor’s (HRM), Birch/Spruce Grove Resident Home Area, in Thunder Bay.
March 3, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Newmont Corporation announce that the outbreak at Musselwhite Mine located 480 kilometers north of Thunder Bay is now over.

March 3, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Southbridge Care Homes announce that the outbreak at Southbridge Pinewood Long-Term Care Home, in Thunder Bay is now over.
Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place at Southbridge Pinewood to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.
The facility was part of the initial roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination program.
March 3, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 26 (twenty-six) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 389.
March 2, 2021 - Today, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit’s Medical Officer of Health is issuing a Class Order under Section 22 of the Health Protection and Promotion Act. The Order is effective immediately and will remain in place until the Medical Officer of Health determines that it is no longer required.
March 2, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 40 (forty) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 374.
March 1, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is pleased to announce that delivery and administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to older adults will start March 3, 2021, in Thunder Bay. The Ontario’s vaccination plan includes adults 80 years of age and older as one of the priority groups in the First Phase. TBDHU will begin this week with vaccinating those aged 85 and older, and will move to include those 80-84 years of age in the coming weeks.
