Description

Gleaning is the traditional practice of gathering leftover crops from fields after harvest to help individuals who may not have access to fresh produce. After two years of operating as a program of Healthy Kids Thunder Bay, the program is being restructured and will now run as a program of Our Kids Count (OKC). The revised program will be coordinated through OKC staff and TBDHU nutrition staff. Bus transportation (at no cost to participants) will be provided to enable families and individuals to pick various berries and vegetables from area farms including Belluz Farm.
