December 28, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that the respiratory (Influenza A) outbreak at Hogarth Riverview Manor – Bluebell Resident Home Area, 2 South, located at 300 Lillie St. N was declared over as of December 24, 2022. All restrictions have been lifted.
TBDHU continues to remind people to refrain from visiting high-risk settings, including hospitals and long-term care facilities, when feeling unwell to avoid spreading infections to the most vulnerable.
December 28, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Hogarth Riverview Manor, Spruce Grove resident area (1st floor). TBDHU has initiated a thorough assessment of the situation. Further measures will be taken as needed to manage this situation.
Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility.
December 19, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and St. Joseph’s Care Group, located at 300 Lillie Street, confirm that an Influenza A outbreak has been declared at the Bluebell Resident Home Area (2 South), in Thunder Bay.
All admissions, transfers, discharges and social activities have been cancelled on the affected unit until further notice. Visitors are restricted to family members and caregivers only. Please call the facility for more information.
