January 19, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and the Southbridge Care Homes confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Southbridge Roseview, Champlain Floor, in Thunder Bay.

January 18, 2022 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 86 (eighty six) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 292.

January 17, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and the Chartwell Isabella Retirement Residence confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the facility, in Thunder Bay.

January 17, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and the Ministry of the Solicitor General confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre, in Thunder Bay.

This outbreak involves the Male side of the facility with three individuals identified as having COVID-19. TBDHU is working with the Ministry of the Solicitor General to manage this outbreak.

January 17, 2022 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 184 (one hundred eighty four) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 290.

January 14, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that Hogarth Riverview Manor’s Birch Grove Resident Home Area, in Thunder Bay, is no longer considered to be in outbreak.

Following further investigation, it was deemed that the Birch Grove Resident Home Area was not impacted by the outbreak that initially started in the Spruce Grove Resident Home Area.

All restrictions on Birch Grove have been removed.

January 14, 2022 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 80 (eighty) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 356.

January 14, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and the City of Thunder Bay confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared on the first floor of Jasper Place in Thunder Bay.

This outbreak is with two individuals identified as having COVID-19. In collaboration with the City of Thunder Bay, TBDHU has initiated a thorough assessment of the situation, including enhanced surveillance and testing activities. Further measures will be taken as needed to manage this situation.
