April 14, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 4 (four) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 72.
April 13, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 9 (nine) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 87.
April 12, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 13 (thirteen) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 91.
April 11, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group announce that the outbreak at St. Joseph’s Hospital – 1 East in Thunder Bay is now over.
Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place at St. Joseph’s Hospital to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.

April 9, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 12 (twelve) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 101.
April 8, 2021 - With the improvement in number and rate of COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, the Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janet DeMille, is not extending the suspension of in-person learning that school boards in Thunder Bay and surrounding communities were directed to implement through her letter of instruction issued under regulations of the Reopening Ontario Act.

April 7, 2021 - Starting Thursday April 8, 2021, the Government of Ontario has announced a Province Wide Stay Home Order to control the spread of COVID-19, that applies to the entire Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) catchment area. Individuals are being asked to stay home, unless it is for essential reasons.
